Chanaa Moong Dal Recipe

Chanaa Moong Dal Recipe Ingredients:

  • Half cup green moong dal,

  • One tbsp yellow chanaa dal,

  • One tbsp ghee or oil,

  • Half tbsp garam masala,

  • One tbsp red chilli powder,

  • Half tbsp haldi(turmeric) powder,

  • Half tbsp dhania(coriander seeds) powder,

  • Half lemon,

  • One tbsp chopped coriander,

  • Half inch grated ginger,

  • Half tbsp cumin seeds,

  • Half tbsp mustard seeds,

  • Two cups water and

  • Salt to taste
  • How To Make Chanaa Moong Dal:

  • Washing both dal together,add one cup water and a pinch of turmeric.

  • Pressure cook dal.Remove the dal after cooling and keep it aside.

  • Now mix all the spice powders in about half cup of water to make thin paste.

  • Heating ghee in a pan,add the cumin and coriander seeds.Once they splutter,add ginger.

  • Now pour the paste of spice powders into the above mixture.

  • Frying for about a minute,add the dal.

  • Adding water to the mixture,stir it well.Let it start to boil.

  • Finally add lemon juice to get spicy taste.

  • Garnish with chopped coriander.

  • Serve hot with hot steamed rice,chappatis or rotis!
