Spinach Dal Recipe

Spinach Dal Recipe Ingredients:

  • One cup yellow moong dal,

  • One bunch fresh spinach,

  • One tbsp grated ginger,

  • Half tbsp grated garlic,

  • Four-five green chillies,

  • One tbsp finely chopped coriander,

  • Half tbsp lemon juice,

  • Half tbsp clove-cinnamon powder,

  • Half tbsp each cumin and mustard seeds,

  • Two tbsps ghee and

  • Salt to taste
  • How To Make Spinach Dal:

  • Washing dal,pressure cook it till done.After cooling,remove dal from cooker.

  • Wash and drain spinach.

  • Putting half the spinach in a mixie,add 2 green chillies and blend.

  • Then Heat one and half tbsps ghee.Add seeds and splutter.

  • Now adding garlic,ginger and chopped spinach,stir.Then add grinded spinach.Fry for about two three minutes.

  • Adding dal and coriander,bring to a boil.Please see to it that it is not overcooked.

  • Heating remaining ghee in a small pan,add clove cinnamon powder,remaining 2 chillies and pour over dal.

  • Adding lemon juice and salt,stir well.

  • Serve hot with rice or parathas.
