Dal Maharani Recipe

Ingredients:

  • Quarter cup rajma,

  • Quarter cup whole urad dal,

  • Quarter cup chana dal,

  • Quarter cup cream,

  • Quarter tbsp cumin seeds,

  • Quarter tbsp Mustard seeds,

  • One chopped onion,

  • Two chopped tomatoes,

  • Four sliced green chillies,

  • Half inch grated ginger,

  • One pinch turmeric powder,

  • One tbsp red chilli powder,

  • Chopped corainder leaves(as required),

  • One tbsp butter and

  • Salt to taste
  • How To Make Dal Maharani:

  • Soak rajma,urad daal and chana dal overnight.

  • Pressure cooking urad dal,chana dal and rajma,mash them a little and keep aside.
    Heating butter in a pan,add mustard seeds and cumin seeds and fry until they splutter.Then add ginger and chillies.

  • Frying for few minutes,add chopped onions and tomatoes.Now cook the mixture until done.

  • Adding salt,red chilli powder and turmeric powder,stir the mixture well.

  • Now add the mashed dals and boil for few minutes.

  • Adding cream and corainder leaves mix it well.

  • Serve the dal maharani hot with roti or rice.
