Prawn Biryani

PRAWN BIRYANI RECIPE

Ingredients:

  • Half kg Prawns,

  • Three cups basmati rice,

  • Four-five tbsps ghee,

  • One chopped big onion,

  • One chopped Tomato,

  • Five-six green chillies,

  • One inch ginger piece,

  • One tbsp garlic paste,

  • Eight-ten Cashew nuts,

  • One cup oconut milk,

  • Half cup choppedcoriander leaves,

  • Half cup choppedPudhina leaves,

  • Four-five cups water,

  • Two Cardamoms,

  • One inch cinnamon piece,

  • One Jaji flower,

  • Two-three cloves and

  • Salt to taste
  • How To Make Prawn Biryani:

  • First cleaning and washing the prawns,drain all the water and keep it aside.

  • Next prepare a paste with green chillies,ginger and garlic.

  • Heat 5 tsps of ghee in a pressure cooker.

  • Now add cardamom,cloves,jaji flower,cashew nuts and cinnamon.

  • Fry the above mixture for few seconds and then add onions,sauting for about two minutes.

  • Now add tomato pieces,prawns,salt and paste.

  • Sauté until the raw smell disappears.

  • Now adding washed basmati rice,mix well.

  • Then add coconut milk,water,coriander leaves and pudhina leaves.

  • Then combine well and close the pressure cooker.

  • Now let the pressure cook whistle two times and then remove it from heat.

  • Prawn Biryani is ready,serve with onion raitha.
