Chicken Biryani

CHICKEN BIRYANI RECIPE

Ingredients:

  • Chicken pieces - one kg,

  • Half kg basmati rice,

  • Half cup milk,

  • Three-four tbsps garam masala(whole),

  • Three-four tbsps garam masala Powder,

  • Half cup butter,

  • Three tbsps chopped garlic,

  • Two tbsps rose water,

  • One chooped onion,

  • Four tbsps chopped ginger,

  • Two tsps red Chilli powder,

  • One tbsp coriander powder,

  • Five tbsps oil,

  • Half tbsp saffron,

  • One tbsp turmeric powder,

  • Two cups curd(yogurt),

  • One chopped tomato,

  • Four-five bay leaves and

  • Salt to taste
  • How To Make Chicken Biryani:

  • Taking a bowl,aa salt,half of the red chili powder,half of the chopped ginger,half of the chopped garlic,one tbsp garam masala powder,half of the turmeric powder and curd,mixing it well.

  • Now adding chicken pieces to it,leave for an hour.

  • Wash and soak rice in water for Half an hour.

  • Boiling water,half of the whole garam masala,bay leaf,salt and rice in it.

  • Cook the rice until 3/4 th done.

  • Draining the rice,place it aside.

  • Heating oil in a pan,add remaining whole garam masala to it.

  • Now adding sliced onions to it,cook it till it turns light golden brown.

  • Adding remaining coriander powder,turmeric powder chopped ginger,chopped garlic,red chili powder,one tsp garam masala powder and chopped tomatoes to it,cook for about five minutes.

  • Adding marinated chicken to it,cook until chicken is tender.

  • Dissolve saffron in warm milk and set aside.

  • Place alternate layers of chicken and rice.

  • Now sprinkle saffron dissolved in milk,remaining garam masala powder, golden fried sliced onions and butter in between the layers and on the top.

  • Carefully end it with the rice layer topped with saffron,spices & rose water.

  • Covering and sealing it with an aluminum foil,cook on low flame for about ten minutes.

  • Serve Chicken Biryani with raita or curd.
