Serves:10
Ingredients:
1.2 tablespoon oil,
2.Salt according to taste,
3.One kilogram chicken pieces(small,medium or big),
4.15 or 20 full dried red chillies,
5.2 tablespoon fully dried dhana,
6.1 tablespoon jeera,
7.Half tablespoon methi,
8.One big onion cut into small peices,
9.3 big onions(cut into pieces) for grinding to make masala,
10.1 small vaati tamarind,
11.50 grams garlic,
12.1 tablespoon turmeric,
13.2 tomatoes and
14.2 fully grated coconut.
Masala Method:
1.Fry red chillies,dhana,jeera,methi,3 onions(cut into pieces),garlic and tomatoes separately.
2.Put haldi and tamarind in the end.
3.Grind the whole mixture into masala.
Coconut juice Method:
1.Grate the coconut and grind it into fine paste.Strian the coconut milk with a strainer till the coconut becomes dry.
2.Repeat this method 2 times more(With less water you grind).
Main Method:
1.Put oil in vessel and put cut onion pieces and fry till golden brown.
2.Then add grinded masala into it and fry it adding salt.
3.Now add chicken pieces and let it cook for 20 mins till it becomes soft.
4.Then add coconut milk to the above mixture and let it boil for about 5-10 min till it turns to gravy(Gravy can be made as per your wish i.e thick or watery).
Serve it with idlies,mangalore korri roties(dry rice dosas),rice or bread!
